Pithoragarh college of nursing is one of the emerging colleges of Nursing in uttrakhand,India located in the beautiful valley of Pithoragarh.

The foundation stone of PCN was laid in 2021 by two young entrepreneurs of Uttarakhand Mr. Jitendra Haneri & Mr. Dharmendra Haneri under the guidance of their father Mr. N.L Haneri to provide quality and affordable Nursing education in Kumaon Hills Of Uttrakhand. PCN is approved by the state government of Uttarakhand and affiliated to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University, Dehradun and Accrediated by Uttrakhand Nursing and midwifery Council of Uttrakhand.

B.Sc Nursing

B.Sc Nursing covers nursing science, research, leadership, and other topics relevant to the nursing practice in their curriculum, the course trains nurses for a wide range of professional responsibilities. The program focuses on imparting knowledge and skills related to patient care, nursing theory, health promotion, disease prevention, and healthcare management. India’s government made numerous significant efforts that resulted in a doubling of the nursing employment from 0.8 nurses per 1000 people in 2000 to 1.7 in 2020. As per WHO this number is still below the standard guideline of 3 nurses per 1000 people.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.

The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course is a three-year diploma program that equips aspiring nurses with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver holistic care to individuals, families, and communities.

ELIGIBILITY

The minimum educational requirements shell be the passing of Intermediate (12th) from a recognized board of university with any stream, with minimum of 40% aggregate marks And English is Mandatory

Training And Placement

There is a focused approach of the PGI Pithoragarh towards persistent and multi-dimensional training of student’s in-line with the industry expectations and establishment of industry sponsored labs for hands-on-learning. The Training & Placement cell facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the institute besides collaborating with leading organizations in setting up of internship and training program of students. The Training & Placement cell provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews besides catering to other logistics.
